STRC has been granted five Design Patents by the Gol

Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India has granted design patent to five products conceived and designed by STRC.

In addition to product development, STRC has also focused on creating low-cost toolkit for bamboo craft. This toolkit is especially designed to aid artisans in their bamboo craft field width sizer, petal bending tool, handling tool, and petal cutting tool.

One Year Undergraduate Diploma in Bamboo Entrepreneurship & Design

STRC has taken a significant initiative to empower the local youth in the region by offering a one-year undergraduate diploma in Bamboo Entrepreneurship and Design. This program aims to provide specialized training and knowledge in bamboo related industries, fostering entrepreneurship, design innovation, and sustainable development. This initiative has made substantial progress in equipping the model production unit with specialized tools and machinery required for the bamboo diploma course.

Environmental Education Program for Tribal School Children

An uniquely designed module based ‘Beyond the Classroom’ environment education program for tribal school children. This program is aimed at imparting informal ways of knowledge sharing through the experiential learning methods to help children grow up to become responsible citizens who are concerned about the issues of a sustainable planet earth.
